Lions Clubs Celebrate 100 Years Of Service

7/5/2017

As the Lions Club International celebrates 100 years of service in Chicago over this 4th of July holiday, we cannot thank them all enough for all they have done to support Restoring Hope Transplant House and our visiting families over the past 4 plus years. It all started years ago when our local Middleton Lions Club embraced Restoring Hope as their charity of choice.  Amazing how this house and the transplant families went on to capture the hearts of Lions Clubs statewide, into Illinois with the help of some of our own guests and beyond.  We appreciate their efforts.

Special thanks to our Lions friends Peter and Joann Cerniglia who have poured their hearts and souls into raising funds and awareness for Restoring Hope and our expansion efforts.  Peter and Joann have sacrificed so many nights, traveled thousands of miles across Wisconsin, spoke about the house in front of countless gatherings, introduced us to so many incredible people and helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that are earmarked for our expansion and renovations plans.  All behind the scenes with very little fanfare in support of the transplant community.  So many tremendous people have embraced Restoring Hope over the years, but nobody more than the Cerniglia's.

In a holiday week of celebrating 100 years of great service, we salute the Cerniglia's and all of the Lions Clubs that have so generously stepped up to support Restoring Hope Transplant House.
