Middleton Times: Transplant Families Home For The Holidays

12/29/2015

Thanks to the Middleton Times-Tribune for the opportunity to give thanks to the Good Neighbor City for embracing RHTH and our visiting transplant families with this first page article that ran on Christmas Eve.  We are so grateful for the communities continued support as we head into another year of Restoring Hope.

New Happy Holidays E-Newsletter Is Out

12/8/2015

The new Happy Holidays e-newsletter was just sent out with a holiday letter from our Executive Director Cindy Herbst.  It also includes a touching transplant story from Shelly who just recently got in touch with her donor and a nice letter of thanks from a lung transplant family and Lions Club member...thanking the statewide Lions Clubs of Wisconsin for their collective support of RHTH.

We are also most grateful for your support of the house and the entire transplant community when you make a holiday or year-end donation to RHTH.  All contributions, no matter the size, make such a huge difference for our visiting transplant families.

For a limited time you can view our e-newsletter online by clicking here or scroll through the printed version attached above.  You can also click here to subscribe to RHTH e-newsletters for further news and updates directly into your email inbox.

Happy Holidays Letter: Reunited With Our First Guest

12/5/2015

Wishing a very happy holidays to all who have passed through our doors and supported Restoring Hope Transplant House over the years.  This house is your gift to the transplant community - thank you for your kindness, generosity and friendship!  May your holidays be filled with great joy, fond memories and excitement for all that is ahead in 2016!

Holiday Wish List For The House

12/4/2015

Picture
We have received several calls this week from people asking about house related needs over the holidays.  We are so grateful for that interest and support.

Last weekend, we had two significant maintenance repairs that needed to be addressed.  While they were both taken care of immediately, these unexpected fixes to the furnace and part of our emergency sprinkler system were very costly.  For those interested in supporting the house over the holidays and through year end gifts, we would be most appreciative for monetary donations to help offset those unexpected expenses.  Thank you for helping us finish a great year on a very positive note!

Lions Clubs of Wisconsin Are Restoring Hope

12/4/2015

Many thanks to the Lions-Lioness-Leo Clubs of Wisconsin and beyond for their continued support of Restoring Hope Transplant Houe this year.  It truly is remarkable how so many of these statewide clubs have joined forces to help raise funds that are going towards further construction and renovations here at RHTH.  We are grateful to people like Gwen Nelson of the Tomah Lions who stopped by RHTH today with a handmade blanket and a very generous donation as well as the Middleton Lions (right) who have inspired so many clubs across the state to give the greatest gift possible to transplant families - the gift of home during their time of greatest need.

It was also very enjoyable watching the Motown Miracle Packers game last night with a lung transplant family that is also involved with their hometown Pepin Lions Club.  What a memorable game it was to share with them and what kind words they had to say about the house and all of the clubs that continue to make it all possible for them and all of our transplant families to enjoy.

A very heartfelt thanks to you all!
