A New Heart For Valentine's Day!

2/14/2015

Many thanks to Steve and Kelly for sharing their heart transplant story for Valentine's Day.  The organ or bone marrow registry could one day save the life of someone you love.  Like Steve and Kelly, we hope that you will consider joining the registries in your state today.  What an unbelievable gift!

UW Transplant Tour

2/4/2015

Picture
We would like to thank UW Hospital and Clinics Director of Transplant Operations Elizabeth Strutz (left) for taking the time to give us a hospital tour from the transplant perspective yesterday and show us what our organ transplant guests see when they come for evaluation, transplant and follow up appointments.  It was nice to see so many familiar faces along the way ranging from hospital staff to some of our own guests.  It is truly amazing how much hard work and dedication happens behind the scenes to make these daily miracles happen.  There are so many compassionate and talented people involved in all phases of transplantation here in Madison and we were extremely grateful for the opportunity to witness some of it in person yesterday.  Thanks to all for a great visit!
