Please save Saturday, April 11th on your calendar for the 10th Annual Benter's Bowling Benefit in Two Rivers, WI. What an amazing family and group of supporters who have gathered every year to celebrate family and support great causes including Restoring Hope Transplant House. We see amazing transplant stories and families each day here at Restoring Hope Transplant House so we are beyond grateful to the Benter family and all of their amazing supporters for making these daily miracles possible. What a difference you are making in the transplant community! Just a quick note to our organ transplant friends and families about the ongoing Living Well Before and After Transplant sessions. If you have travel plans on the horizon, this Travel After Transplant gathering on March 10th might be of interest to you.
There are so many wonderful restaurants here in downtown Middleton and it's fair to say that our guests have sampled them all...many times...including our group here at the house last night. So many different options and all within walking distance from Restoring Hope Transplant House.
Many thanks to Steve and Kelly for sharing their heart transplant story for Valentine's Day. The organ or bone marrow registry could one day save the life of someone you love. Like Steve and Kelly, we hope that you will consider joining the registries in your state today. What an unbelievable gift!
For those of you looking for ways to help out our transplant families this winter, these frigid temperatures are a regular reminder that the gift of heat during a chilly Wisconsin winter can be one of the greatest gifts possible. If you would like to help "Give the Gift of Heat", please make a donation today or contact Cindy Herbst at 608-831-1726 or via email at [email protected] for more information. Thank you!
This years Spaghetti Fundraiser in support of Restoring Hope Transplant House is scheduled for Sunday April 26th from Noon-3pm in Cross Plains. Please save the date and come join us if you are at all able. It would be wonderful to make this event be an annual reunion of sorts for our many guests. Thanks to everyone involved in making this fun event possible and for all it does to support the house and our transplant families!
We would like to thank UW Hospital and Clinics Director of Transplant Operations Elizabeth Strutz (left) for taking the time to give us a hospital tour from the transplant perspective yesterday and show us what our organ transplant guests see when they come for evaluation, transplant and follow up appointments. It was nice to see so many familiar faces along the way ranging from hospital staff to some of our own guests. It is truly amazing how much hard work and dedication happens behind the scenes to make these daily miracles happen. There are so many compassionate and talented people involved in all phases of transplantation here in Madison and we were extremely grateful for the opportunity to witness some of it in person yesterday. Thanks to all for a great visit! |
