Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in this years Annual Elaine Graber Memorial Ride for Hope event for all you do support our visiting transplant families while also honoring the memory of a very special lady. We have thus far hosted families from all parts of Wisconsin, 23 different states and as far away as Canada and England and great fundraisers like this one and their generous supporters help to make it all possible. We are forever grateful to you all!
Restoring Hope Transplant House would like to thank members of the Gordon Flesch Company Charitable Foundation for stopping by recently to present a $5,000 check in support of RHTH and our transplant families. Pictured are Barb Anderson, Foundation President of the Gordon Flesch Company Charitable Foundation, Kelly Vinje Willoughby, Account Executive and Steve Thimling, service specialist, who nominated us for consideration of this $5,000 grant.
We were very touched by this whole process and that they came to tour and see first-hand what we do and why it matters to the transplant families we serve. The Gordon Flesch Company Charitable Foundation and family have given significant donations to this community in ways that heal, encourage, show compassion, and lift the human spirit. Our deepest appreciation also goes out to the many community-minded employees at Gordon Flesch who represent the heartbeat of the foundation by recognizing, nominating and sacrificing so much for the benefit of so many wonderful charities. What touches us the most is that this donation from the Gordon Flesch Company Charitable Foundation comes directly from a family that has been deeply touched by their very own transplant journeys and their generosity gives us the tools to help serve our own visiting transplants families. We thank you all for making this possible! We would like to thank everyone who helped to make this past June and July our two busiest back to back months in Restoring Hope Transplant House history and 2 of the 3 busiest months we have had since opening our doors 3 years ago. What an amazing group of friends we have had the good fortune to host this summer. We wish you all the best as you return home and we look forward to seeing many of you again as you return for checkups.
Special thanks to our previous guests and the wonderful medical teams at UW Hospital that help to refer patient families to RHTH. We are extremely grateful for your ongoing efforts to help spread the word about RHTH amongst your family, friends, patients and communities and ask for your continued assistance in sharing our home away from home with other transplant families in their time of need. Your efforts really are making a difference! |
