Restoring Hope Transplant House started as a dream fueled by our collective passions for helping transplant families in need. This is truly a labor of love, done for people we have also grown to love. To be named the "First Lady of the Year" this past weekend by Beta Sigma Phi International was a tremendous honor and a wonderful reflection on the amazing spirit created within the walls of our house by so many of our visiting transplant families. Thank you all for this special moment!
"A First Lady is someone who is not a member of the organization, but has demonstrated the ideals of Beta Sigma Phi. According to our International rules, "The candidate who receives this honor has reached out to others. She has made a difference in one person’s life or several lives. She is described as a person of integrity and kindness. Although she may be recognized for her professional accomplishments, she has obtained the title of “First Lady” because she has gone beyond the normal scope of her job. This award honors a woman who was not looking for fame."
