OUR RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS - WE ARE OPEN!
Restoring Hope Transplant House is a non-profit home away from home for transplant families who are in search of a second chance at life through the miracle of transplantation at nearby UW Hospital and the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison.
Located in The Good Neighbor City of Middleton, Restoring Hope has welcomed bone marrow, stem cell, organ transplant and LVAD families from all across Wisconsin, 44 different states and even as far away as Canada, England, Germany, Hong Kong, London, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico and Spain since opening our doors to transplant families in 2013. RHTH is a classically beautiful Victorian home originally built in the 1890’s and located in the heart of a very vibrant community with several wonderful restaurants, near beautiful ponds with well-maintained walking trails, fun live music venues including Capital Brewery, The National Mustard Museum, many shops as well as the local library, bank and post office. All in a very safe community that Money Magazine once ranked #1 in their annual Best Places to Live in the United States list. The house currently features first and second floor guest bedrooms available to eligible transplant families for $45 a night per room. Bedrooms feature both a double and twin bed ideal for 2-3 people, televisions with broadcast channels in each bedroom, 5 public bathrooms – three with showers, community kitchen, on-site laundry available for guest use, spacious living rooms on both floors with an ample supply of books, transplant related information and material, big screen televisions with cable tv for community use, Wi-Fi throughout the house, a great front porch outfitted with relaxing new furniture, an office and an on-site living quarters for round the clock staff. Now Serving VA Transplant Families
Restoring Hope Transplant House has had a long history of hosting Veterans and their transplant families from UW Hospital, so we were very excited to also begin partnering with the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison to welcome many of their proud Veterans at the start of 2017. Like our UW Hospital families, the VA patients also have their life-saving transplants done on the UW side before moving over to the VA Hospital. What a blessing it has been to welcome them to the family!
Note to potential guests:
All UW Hospital transplant guests please consult with Guest Services if you are interested in staying at RHTH. You MUST be referred by the UW transplant program in order to stay at RHTH for your FIRST stay. We cannot take your reservations directly. After you have stayed with us once, you can then contact us directly for all future visits. All VA Hospital transplant guests will have their reservations at RHTH made by the VA staff. Staying Safe Through 2021 - Thank You All!
