https://conta.cc/34HgbdA Wishing you all a very happy and healthy holiday season! Please take a moment to read RHTH updates from Cindy including a beautiful new granddaughter, Covid related updates on construction and our availability to guests over the winter, an incredible donation from friends at Kohler, our appreciation for Lions and thoughts with Cheryl as she continues to battle Covid, reasons to be joyful during a very challenging year, a salute to UW Hospital staff and our incredible gratitude to those who safely called RHTH home during the worst medical crisis of our lifetime. Love and appreciate you all. Better days ahead...happy holidays!
https://conta.cc/2KcYY4E Dear Friends,
There is no question that 2020 has been our most challenging year to date at Restoring Hope Transplant House with the endless layers of a global pandemic impacting our work at every turn. Yet here we stand in mid-November with our doors still open to any of our families in need of essential hospital care and working hard each and every day for the exciting plans we have for the future. How blessed we are to still be doing what we passionately love to do while so many others have lost those opportunities in the face of overwhelming obstacles. That is a credit to you…our transplant families, our loyal supporters, our compassionate believers. During the worst pandemic of our lifetime, we have collectively found a way to scratch and claw our way through all of the financial losses of 2020 so that we can focus on doing what we do best. As many of you know, one of our best friends here at RHTH passed away a week ago at the hospital from cancer related challenges. His grieving wife is still with us today at RHTH surrounded by a community of support and love. It is a constant reminder that no matter how this pandemic impacts our daily lives that what we do is important. What we do matters. What we do really does make a difference for the people who call Restoring Hope home. As a non-profit, there’s no secret that year end holiday giving is incredibly important for the success of any charitable cause. We also understand that 2020 has been the hardest year financially for the vast majority of our families, friends and supporters which makes creating posts like this no fun whatsoever for me personally. We get your daily struggles, feel your constant sacrifices and understand the anxieties of trying to make ends meet. I also know of your love for this house and the love you share for the people you shared it with. If some way…some how you still have the means to support a charitable cause during this holiday season of year end giving, I hope you will consider making a donation to support the work we do here at RHTH. With love to you all! Our new RHTH e-newsletter was just sent out to email subscribers. It has been a true blessing to be open again these past couple months to our transplant families. It was also an exciting week last week for the future of the house as our construction plans were approved to move forward with the Landmark Commission that oversees historic houses like these after a lot of hard work. Please take a moment to read and share. Appreciate you all!
https://conta.cc/33jDbja We are so excited to begin reopening our doors to new and old friends. Our journey begins again today...hope to see you all soon!
We feel duty bound to post something about this pandemic inspired GivingTuesday campaign that supports non-profits and people in need, but hope you all realize that as your friends first and foremost, that your well-being at this time is far more important to us! May the cupboards in your kitchens have all you need to feed your families. May you be blessed with a protective roof over your head. May the endless anxieties of living through the many complicated layers of this pandemic melt away each night before your head hits the pillow. As a nonprofit, we are grateful for your support during a time of great need, but the only thing that really matters is getting all of us through this together! We care about you all!❤️
RHTH Donate Page (PayPal) https://www.givingtuesday.org/ We just sent out a new RHTH e-newsletter. In a world with negativity at every turn, this was my favorite newsletter I've ever assembled. So many beautiful faces of life and transplantation and making the most of a very challenging situation. We love you all!
https://conta.cc/2y9Y3Mt While we really miss having our RHTH family of guests here with us during this global pandemic, it has been so nice to see so many of their smiling faces and is such a relief to know that they are all Safer at Home. We can't wait to see you all again soon! Stay well!
If you would like to submit your Safer at Home pic, please email it to us. We love you all. Please stay safe and healthy with your loved-ones during this difficult time. We look forward to seeing you all again as soon as life returns to normal! Please keep in touch! Our good friend Karen decided to be a kidney donor simply because of a post she saw here on Facebook! We have the ability to share the truly life-changing stories of transplantation to our friends and loved ones and know that with a little luck those stories might touch others hearts the same way they touched Karen’s. That alone makes sharing Donate Life Month so worth our collective effort. Sharing can save lives!❤️
